Easy Apple Cake

Ingredients:

Batter:

3 eggs

1/2 cup sugar

2 tsp vanilla

1 cup flour

2 tsp baking powder

1/2 cup butter

1/2 cup raisins, optional

Filling:

4 Apples

4 tbsp brown sugar

2 tbsp cinnamon powder

Directions:

For the Batter:

In a big bowl, add eggs, sugar and vanilla and mix thoroughly using an electric mixer. Add the melted butter, mix to combine then add flour and baking powder. Set aside.

For the Filling:

Wash and cut the apples into small cubes. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon on it.

Grease a springform pan and line it with parchment paper. Layer the cut apples at the bottom of the pan ,  then add the batter. Sprinkle raisins on top, if using and bake on a preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until cake is golden and toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool down before slicing.
