1/4 cup sugar
5 tbsps.cornstarch
1/8 tsp salt
1 370ml can evaporated milk
1 pc.egg white,stiffly beaten
2 tbsps.sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Mango Sauce:
2 pcs.mangoes, pureed
3 tbsps. sugar
2 tsps. brandy(optional)
Prepare custard by combining the first 3 ingredients in a saucepan, gradually add the milk and cook over low heat until thick. Cool.
Beat egg white.Add sugar a tbsp at a time;fold into the custard mixture. Add vanilla and pour into individual custard molds. Set aside.
To make mango sauce,mix pureed mangoes, sugar and brandy together; beat until smooth. Pour over custard. For variation, use any fruits in season..Serves 4-6 person.
