Ingredients:
1 lb beef flank steak
1 tbsp fresh ginger grated
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1 medium sized chayote, peeled and sliced
1/2 red bell pepper, sliced
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1 tbsp fish sauce
salt, to taste
2 green onions stalk, to garnish
Directions:
1. Cut beef into thin slices, marinate with oyster sauce, black pepper, half of grated ginger and half of chopped garlic for 15 minutes. Set aside.
2. Peel the chayote, cut into half, remove the seed and slice into desired size.
3. In a wok on medium heat, saute the remaining garlic, ginger and onion in oil. Add the marinated beef and saute for 7 minutes or until beef is almost cooked.
4. Add the sliced chayote, saute for 5 minutes, then add the red bell pepper.
5. Add soy sauce and fish sauce to the mixture, cook for another 5 minutes or until chayote is tender.
6. Season with salt and black pepper, if needed. Garnish with chopped green onions.
7. Serve with white rice..
