Tahini and Apple Mini Strudels







Ingredients:
1 pack Filo sheets (Baklava)
80g melted butter
4 apples, peeled, cored and diced
3 tbsp light brown sugar
3-4 tbsp tahini
2 tbsp sesame seeds, for filling
juice of 1/2  lemon
Icing sugar for dusting
Sesame seeds for dusting

Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 180C. Heat 1-2 tbsp of butter in a heavy-based pan, add chopped
apples, sugar and lemon juice and cook gently until the apples begin to caramelized. Remove from the heat and leave to cool.
Lay out the sheets of pastry and brush each one with butter. Fold each sheet in half lengthwise and spoon a small amount of tahini and a small amount of apple filling onto the end of each sheet.Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Roll into a spring roll shape, tucking in the ends and brush each finished strudel with some butter. Sprinkle with icing sugar and sesame seeds and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and dust with icing sugar. Serve hot or cold.
