Homemade Pita Bread (without oven)








Ingredients:
2 1/2 - 3  cups flour
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp olive oil
1 cup warm water
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp dry yeast
 Directions:
Mix together the flour, salt, sugar, yeast, and olive oil in a bowl. Slowly add the warm water, mixing with a wooden spoon. On a floured board, knead the dough for 7-10 minutes till it become elastic. Add a tablespoon of water ,if its too dry or add a little flour if its too wet.Keep the dough in an oiled bowl, cover tightly and let it rest for 1 hour or until double in size.
Put in a floured board, make it into a log, separate into equal shape, make into balls. Cover the balls again for another 30 minutes to rest after shaping into circle. Heat a thick pan on a medium high heat, put the rounded dough, turn on the other side when it started to puff out and turn out light brown, for about 3 minutes on each side.
