Shrimp with Chayote , Carrots and Kale

 





Ingredients:

500 g shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 pc. chayote, chopped thinly

1 pc. carrot, cut thinly

bunch of kale, coarsely cut

1 medium onion,  chopped

5 cloves garlic, minced

1 inch ginger, grated

3 tbsp butter

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp oyster sauce

salt and pepper , to taste

Direction:

1. In a large frying pan, heat 2 tablespoon of butter and 1 tablespoon of olive oil, then add shrimp. Toss for about a minute, or until the color of the shrimp begins to change, and is just slightly cooked through. Set aside on a plate.

2. In the same pan, heat 1tbsp butter and 1 tbsp of olive oil, saute the garlic, onion and ginger, until golden and translucent. 

3. Add chayote and carrots, toss for about 2 minutes or just half cooked then add kale.. Add soy sauce and oyster sauce.

4.  Add the cooked shrimp and toss together for a minute.

5. Season with salt and pepper, according to your taste. Serve hot with rice.
