Quick Beef and Bean Chili





Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 (16 oz) cans red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/3 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
 Sour cream (optional)

Direction:
1. Cook the beef, onion and garlic in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, until beef is browned and crumbly, 6-8 minutes.
2. Add the beans, tomatoes, chili powder, salt and black pepper to the beef mixture. Mix well. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, for 16-18 minutes.
3.Spoon the chili  evenly into soup bowls. Sprinkle with the Cheddar and serve with sour cream, if desired.
